24 people, from a sample size of 4,459 have tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

The positivity rate is now at 0.5% with the total number of confirmed positive cases in the Country at 322,930. 

So far, a total of 3,368,063 samples have been collected.

Of the 24 cases, 18 are male while and 6 are female. The youngest is a 7-year-old child while the oldest is 62 years. 

The cases are distributed as follows; Nairobi 11, Nakuru 4, Uasin Gishu 4, Laikipia 2, Kiambu 1, Mombasa 1 and Vihiga 1.

Admissions

A total of 37 patients are currently admitted in various health facilities countrywide, while 511 are under the Home-Based Isolation and Care program. 

3 patients are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and all of them are on ventilatory support.

Another 11 patients are on supplemental oxygen and all of them are in the general wards. No patient is in the High Dependency Unit (HDU).

Recoveries

In the last 24 hours, 40 patients have recovered from the disease, 29 from various health facilities countrywide while 11 are from the Home Based and Isolation Care. 

 The total number of recoveries now stands at 303,248.

Fortunately, no Covid-19 deaths were reported today. Therefore, the cumulative number of fatalities stands at 5,639.

Vaccines

A total of 30,488 vaccines have been administered in the last 24 hours bringing the total number of those inoculated to 16,577,113.

Of these, 7,797,476 are partially vaccinated while those fully vaccinated are 7,558,459.
