Kenya’s Covid-19 positivity rate now stands at 1 per cent after fifty-four people tested positive for the disease from 5,578 samples in the last 24 hours.
The total confirmed cases in the country are now 322,388 and 3,284,296 cumulative tests conducted so far.
Another 2,342 people have also recovered from the disease, “with 2,323 discharged from the Home-Based Isolation and Care program while nineteen were discharged from various health facilities countrywide,” Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe said in a statement Friday.
Total recoveries are 302,647.
No death has been reported today. The Covid-19 death toll remains 5,626.
Further, two hundred and eleven patients are currently admitted to various health facilities countrywide. Five patients are in the ICU, and three are in the HDU.
Kenya has vaccinated some 239,937 people in the last 24 hours.
Over 14.8 million vaccines have been administered in the country, and 214,662 booster doses.
Only 24.4 per cent of the adult population is fully vaccinated.
