It was a joyful moment for Vincent Ochieng and his wife, Judy after their triplets were discharged following a successful heart surgery.

The triplets, Thelma Robin, Jynen Juliana and Amanda Akula, had  holes in their hearts, a condition that called for an urgent operation that could have cost the family Sh2.5 million.

After their condition was highlighted by The Standard, Nairobi Hospital offered to carry out the operation for free.

"This is the happiest moment of my life. It is a dream come true for me especially seeing my children play again in my presence," said Judy.

After her children's plight was highlighted, three hospitals; Nairobi, Aga Khan, and Gertrude's offered to help.

"We really appreciate the hospitals' concern for our children, they were God-sent," she said.
