Njerae is a talented Kenyan singer, songwriter, and producer who has been making waves in the East African music industry.

Known for her soulful voice and introspective lyrics, she has quickly gained a loyal following with her relatable and heartfelt songs.

Njarae is an alumni of Sauti Academy.

“Sauti Academy will forever have a place in my heart. It is where I learned that I have something to offer and it is where I learned how to best package this thing. A lot of my connections happened when I was at Sauti Academy. A lot of my friendships were cultivated when I was at Sauti Academy,” she says.

Her musical prowess aside, she is also known for her captivating stage presence. She has performed at numerous events, music festivals, and creative stages, sharing her music with audiences across the country.

Her journey in the music industry has been marked by significant milestones. This year, she was signed to Universal Music Group East Africa, solidifying her position as one of Kenya’s most promising talents.

“I am currently working on a track for December celebrations called Nyumbani. I am very excited for people to hear it,” she says.

Although now she is well conversant with the town, Njerae first came to Nairobi in 2015 right after high school.

“I remember I had wanted to enroll at the University of Nairobi, but the only landmark I knew in the CBD was the National Archives. My sister and I spent an entire afternoon searching for UoN. After hours of walking and hearing the same bell ringing repeatedly, we realized we had been circling the same building on Moi Avenue the whole time,” she says.
