Kenya-Botswana relations

Kenya considers Botswana a longstanding ally in continental economic development, peace, security, tourism, education, health, and renewable energy.

According to the Deputy President's office, the two nations share a history of cooperation in politics, democracy, development, and trade dating back to their independence struggles.

"Currently, over 1,200 Kenyan citizens reside and work in Botswana, and Kenya appreciates the warm reception of our professionals, who have contributed to establishing governance and education structures in Botswana," the office noted.
