Easy recipe: Potatoes in turmeric and black pepper

Tired of the same old boring fries? Let's make some turmeric and black pepper potatoes that are to die for.

Ingredients:

1 large sliced onion

1 lime 

1kg potatoes, cubed 

1 teaspoon garlic ginger paste 

1 teaspoon turmeric 

1 teaspoon black pepper 

2 tablespoons of oil 

Salt to taste

200ml water

What to do:

In a hot nonstick pan, pour in the oil, add in the onions and sauté until soft.

Add garlic ginger paste, turmeric, black pepper, potatoes, salt to taste and water. Let it cook until the water has reduced completely and the potatoes are cooked.

Use a small knife to test the tenderness of the potatoes you don’t want to serve half-cooked potatoes because some potatoes take more time to cook (also ensure you don’t overcook them).

Add in the lime juice and finish off with crushed black peppercorn on top. 

Serve with your favourite bread. Enjoy!
