Kalro now unveils cassava training

The Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organisation (Kalro) has started training farmers on modern cassava growing techniques.

The programme under the Kenya Climate Smart Agricultural Productivity programme targets to improve cassava production in Kisumu, Siaya, Busia and Lamu counties.

Kalro intends to improve nutritional security for women, children, youth and vulnerable groups.

The trainings in Mabanga FTC Bungoma focus on climate smart agriculture,  cassava variety selection, cassava seed system, agronomic management practices, cassava crop health, post harvest management and value addition.
