Quavo and Saweetie were seen having a fiery row in a lift before they split.

The 29-year-old Migos rapper was caught on a surveillance camera having an explosive exchange with his soon-to-be ex Saweetie, 27, at an apartment complex in North Hollywood.

The footage, which was obtained by TMZ, shows that the couple's relationship was in a precarious state at that point in 2020 as they headed towards going their separate ways.

Saweetie, a rapper and songwriter whose real name is Diamonté Quiava Valentin Harper, was seen in an uncomfortable confrontation with Quavo, with the lift door open before they bundle each other into the lift.

While the situation remained volatile for a number of seconds, the couple seemed to end their argument, though it certainly looked like they were not on amicable terms by the time the lift door opens again.

At one point, the doors open to someone who wanted to get in but they thought against it as the atmosphere appeared particularly tense inside the lift.

The incident happened at the apartments which Saweetie was renting, TMZ has reported.

The couple were not together much longer after this with Saweetie publicly breaking off their relationship.

She alleged that Quavo had cheated on her but he has strenuously denied this was the case.

In announcing that she was no longer dating Quavo, she wrote in a tweet: "I'm single. I've endured too much betrayal and hurt behind the scenes for a false narrative to be circulating that degrades my character.

"Presents don't band aid scars and the love isn't real when the intimacy is given to other women."

She added in another tweet: "I emotionally checked out a long time ago and have walked away with a deep sense of peace and freedom. Excited for this new chapter of elevation."

Later that day, Quavo hit back, writing: "You are not the woman I thought you were.

"I know you want to make this into a show so I'll play my part just this one time.

"I don't normally put my business out there, especially my personal life. I feel the need to address this so there are no false narratives."
