James Bond star Tanya Roberts not dead despite husband initially thinking she was

Tanya Robert's rep has claimed she is still alive and admitted he was wrong to confirm news of her death.

Tanya Roberts is still alive, according to the rep who initially confirmed her death. Mike Pingel told TMZ that Tanya's husband Lance O'Brien discovered from the hospital she was staying in that she didn't die after all. It was first reported that the James Bond star had died after collapsing at her home on Christmas Eve, before being rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles where she was placed on a ventilator. Pingel told the site that Tanya, 65, had passed away, but claims he got a call at 10am LA time on Monday to say that it was a mistake.

TMZ reports: "Lance got a call just after 10 AM Monday from the hospital saying Tanya was still alive. Pingel said Lance truly believed Tanya had died."

Lance had also phoned her friends and family to confirm she'd died, it's claimed. Mike had even posted a picture of them on Instagram, saying he was "devastated" by the news. Lance was interviewed by US news show Inside Edition and answered a phone call from the hospital on camera, telling him she was alive.

He broke down in tears at the news and said: "I'm so happy".

Early on Monday, TMZ had originally reported that Tanya returned home from a walk with her dogs, when she "collapsed," and was "taken to a hospital." Her representative told the site at the time that Tanya was "put on a ventilator, but never got better" though her reported death was unrelated to Covid-19. Fans then rushed to pay tribute to her. They commented on what they thought was her last ever Instagram post.
