Sir Sean Connery died aged 90 on October 31. And the actor leaves behind his wife of 40 years Micheline Roquebrune. Sean and French native Micheline had an intense and passionate love that began when they met in 1970 at a golf tournament in Morocco, after Sean split from his first wife Diane Cilento. Recalling their first encounter, Micheline - who had two husbands prior to Sean - told The Sun in 2011 that she did not know he was an A-list actor.
Micheline told how she noticed Sean's "fine physique" but "didn’t know who he was or anything about him." Proving she knew he was special, she added: “Then I dreamed I saw this man. I was in his arms. And I thought ‘At last, peace. The next day I went back to the tournament and that was that!” At the start of their relationship the couple could not speak the same language.

Micheline, who speaks fluent French and Spanish and understands Arabic, said that it was not an issue for the love birds as she cheekily shared with the publication" Oh we had no problem communicating — body language!” Sean and Micheline struggled to see one another during the early stages of their romance since they were living in different places.
Sean told: “In the early days it was difficult for us to see each other. She was still living in North Africa with her children”. But that did not stop the lovebirds and they eventually started a life together in the Bahamas. Revealing that their love was solid, the actor said of his wife: “Micheline is an amazing woman. She is the love of my life."
