Harry Styles shares his exact thoughts on Taylor Swift writing songs about him

Harry Styles has shared his thoughts on the fact his ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift has written songs about him and their break-up. The 26-year-old One Direction star famously enjoyed a high-profile romance with 30-year-old Taylor in 2012 which, although brief, is said to have been the inspiration for songs by both artists. Fans have long speculated that Taylor’s 2015 hit Style and 2016 single Out Of The Woods were both about her past romance with Harry.

A resurfaced interview of Harry by Howard Stern from earlier this year saw the chart topping singer addressing the fact that Taylor had penned tracks about him. The Watermelon Sugar star said: “I think about what it means to me to write a song about somebody else and for somebody else to do that, it’s like flattering, even if the song isn’t that flattering, you still spent time on it and ultimately, using Taylor as an example, she’s a great songwriter.”
