President Donald Trump stunned into silence as Kanye West launches into 10-minute rant on visit to the White House
President Donald Trump Donald has welcomed Kanye West to the White House, and says the rapper "has been a friend for a long time."
In a nearly 10-minute long speech in the Oval Office, West talked about the economy, "stop and frisk", North Korea and spreading love through the country.
West swore during his lengthy monologue - using the word 'motherf**ker' - and also hugged the president.
The rapper began the meeting by praising the President's efforts in North Korea saying, "On day one you solved one of [Obama's] biggest troubles. We solved one of the biggest problems."
"They tried to scare me to not wear this hat," West said, referring to the "Make America Great Again" hat that he wore to the meeting. He said the hat given to him by the president was like "a Superman cape."
The rapper also ruled out a presidential bid "until 2024", instead voicing his support for Mr Trump.
During his wide-ranging monologue, West told Trump he should get rid of Air Force One and buy a hydrogen-powered plane.
Turning to the economy, the rapper said: "We have to bring jobs into America because our best export is entertainment and ideas, but when we make everything in China and not America we are cheating our country."
West was also due to discuss preventing gang crime and reducing violence in Chicago, where the A-lister grew up.
He challenged the President over "stop-and-frisk" policing, where large numbers of people are temporarily detained, questioned and sometimes searched for drugs and weapons.
Trump has previously supported the strategy urging Chicago to adopt it - despite it being considered unconstitutional because of the impact on minorities.
He added: "My dad and my mom separated so there was not a lot of male energy in my home and also I'm married to a family where, you know, there's not a lot of male energy. It's beautiful, though."
West also used the word, "motherf***er", before unlocking his phone appearing to use the password 0000 to show the room a new idea for a presidential vehicle.
After several minutes of silence and listening intently, the president said: "I tell you what that was pretty impressive, folks... that was quite something."

"It was from the soul. I just channelled it," West responded. ?????
“He can speak for me any time he wants, he’s a smart cookie,” Trump said. “He gets it.”
As he hugged the President, he said: “I love this guy right here. Let me give this guy a hug.”
West's wife, Kim Kardashian West, has visited the White House twice this year – most recently in September – to discuss prison reform with the president as well as with Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner.
Asked if he would run for president, West told reporters “Only after 2024."
