Messages of condolences have been pouring in to the family of popular Kenyan Mix Masters Entertainment’s DJ Kalonje.
The master of the decks is mourning the passing of his father who reportedly died after ailing for a while.
Kalonje, arguably one of the best street kings in the DJ circles, eulogized his father as an affectionate, principled family man who raised him well.
“Dear dad, I just want to thank you for everything, you raised us on one principle, love is the answer. It’s with disbelief and sorry I say goodbye to you. May you rest well. I will take care of Mum for you. Till we meet again,” wrote Kalonje.
This comes under a month after he relocated his studio to Pangani following the controversial demolition of his multi-million shilling investment worth Sh7.5 million.
“I have partnered with DJ Carlos to open a new studio in Pangani. I am basically starting over after I lost my 10-year investment in Eastleigh. I have not yet been compensated and the matter is still in court. I have used over Sh500,000. The fifth hearing is scheduled for April,” he told Heads Up.
