Actress Catherine 'Selina' Kamau and Philip Karanja hold dowry payment ceremony

You might have spotted Catherine Kamau and Philip Karanja's faces from Mother-in-law and Tahidi High respectively, made their relationship official in their traditional wedding this weekend.

The two donned white outfits with traditional detailing. Kate was dressed by Neomi Nganga’s fashion line that caters to curvier women and the plus size.

Kate and Philip have been seeing each other for quite a while now and had already identified each other as long-term partners with Kate hinting at marriage earlier on in their relationship.

The soon to be Mrs Karanja said last year that their wedding will be a small and intimate one with close family and friends without the media.

Apparently, Mr Karanja did not have a predictable marriage proposal like the rest and instead surprised her fiancé with a wedding date. Looks like it is finally happening.

Kate is still an actress, a commercial model (as seen on Harpic) and a TV host at EBRU TV. Philip runs his own production company Phil It Productions that has several programs running on Maisha Magic East.
