American rapper of Moroccan descent French Montana shares the cover of VIBE magazine with the Ugandan dancers Triplets Ghetto Kids in the July issue.
French has grown very close with the kids whom he featured in hit song Unforgettable featuring upcoming rapper SwaLee.
Speaking to Vibe Magazine about the kids, he said, “Their story is so special. How all of them just live together.
The guy that they live with, found all of them separately, due to circumstances that happened to them and their families. Some of them… their parents died.
Some of their parents had them and left them. Some of them were just dealt a really bad hand. All they have is art,” says French, who bought them all visas so they could travel abroad. “That’s the most important part, they’re happy with nothing.”
When Unforgettable was slotted for performance at the BET awards, French made a point of bringing them to the states to perform alongside them.
“Unforgettable wasn't just a record for me it was personal. Love seeing these kids happy. real #vibe” he captioned the cover of the magazine.
French just dropped his album Jungle Fever last week which has received massive praise online awaiting to see if it will translate to sales.
The Kids were brought to the limelight first by Ugandan artiste Eddy Kenzo.
There is no telling how far these kids will go but they sure are doing well for themselves this far.
