In the X-Men series, Logan is amazingly moving and grown-up, elevating the superhero genre to new heights.
Jackman gives an astonishing performance as a hurting Logan; he's no longer Wolverine, just a man who's lived a hard life and is looking at an unforgiving, grim future
The movie Logan is set in the future and mutants are on the verge of extinction. Logan (Hugh Jackman) is taking care of an ailing Professor X (Patrick Stewart) in a hideout somewhere along the Mexican border.
Their lives, however, are turned upside down when a young mutant named Laura (Dafne keen) arrives while being pursued by dark forces.
This is unlike any Wolverine film you have ever watched before as characters are significantly aged.
Thumbs up
The action in the move is thrilling with a supercharged Jackman a stark reminder of why we love the Wolverine.
Despite being an action film, it is full of punchlines as humour comes into play several times.
Armed with skills and claws, feisty debutant in Dafne Keen impresses despite keeping mum for almost the entire movie.
Thumbs Down
The storyline signs off Professor X’s role in the Wolverine sequel. This gives the movie a sad touch.
After playing Wolverine for 17 years, it is reported that this might Jack Hughman’s final appearance as the mutant.
Despite this, Jackman does a good job in wrapping up the trilogy of Wolverine films. The ending leaves us in suspense over the future of the mutants, and whether he would be back again.
