Lukas Podolski might have commitments at Galatasaray.

But that doesn't mean the former Arsenal striker can't kick off his boots and pick up a microphone from time to time.

And, while he's at it, go straight to number one in the German charts.

Rapper Mo-Torres and the band Cat Ballo enlisted the help of the Galatasaray forward to feature in their track Liebe deine Stadt, which translates as Love Your City.

Now, we should explain, it's not very clear what exactly the German brings to the track other than the fact he is a footballer, and he started his career at FC Koln in Cologne - the city the track is about.

But watching him strut his stuff in the music video is a sight to behold as he wears a Germany shirt with his own name on the back.

And later stands above the city while holding his arms out, because you know, this is the coolest moment of his life and he's going to enjoy it.

After hitting the airwaves the song became the most downloaded in Germany in a week and stormed to the top of the charts.

Podolski was so excited by the achievement he took to Instagram to post a picture of himself in the music video and say a few words.

"It is unbelievable what happened the last few days," wrote the German.

"I would like to thank you for the support of our song Liebe deine Stadt. I have not expected the success so far."
