Kenyans are people of peculiar habits. Some few months ago, they got Kofi Olomide arrested and deported after he kicked one of his dancers after arriving in Nairobi for a concert that never was. And when Chris Brown arrived here on Saturday, he almost suffered the same fate.
After he reportedly treated a journalist unfairly, Kenyans on twitter hated on the American star with some even insisting that he be deported.
The negative remarks seemed to have affected the Mombasa concert that registered dismal attendance.
First, there was drama at English Point, where Chris Brown and his team were putting up, as the hotel and the Chris Brown show organisers had differences about payments.
According to a source, the hotel insisted that it needed to be paid in cash as unconfirmed news had it that a cheque that has previously paid to the hotel had bounced.
“They ended up bringing the hotel money in a paper bag. The total bill was coming to something close to Sh1 million,” our source indicated.
The singer had a twenty minutes performance that left fans wanting for more. “The problem is that some of the people who had paid for the VIP slots felt that they were treated unfairly as they ended up watching the show from screens. They could not even get a good view from the position they had been placed,” our source added.
