Becoming a celebrity has its own perks and flops, depending on what ‘side of fame’ one finds themselves. Apart from the money that come from shows, endorsements and other revenue avenues, the name also creates a brand that can make you wealthy if handled correctly. It is for this reason that a number of celebrities invent their own signature product under their brands names.
Gospel hit maker, Willy Paul is among Kenyan celebrities who at one point tried using their brands names to sell different products, among them water, clothes and shoes. The singer, launched his own clothing line a few years ago but it never lived to see 2016.The flop did not dampen his entrepreneurial spirit as he has re-launched his clothing line again, this time promising to deliver and remain relevant in the marketing unlike previously.
Announcing the commencement of his new endeavor through social media, the singer posted a few pictures of his clothing line’s T-Shirts and quoted the price as he asked guys to order. No sooner were the posts up, than a number of critics attacked him claiming that the singer is broke now that the corporate world has shown him its back, then there was the other group of fans who encouraged him to keep hassling.
