Rating: 7.3/10
John Connor, leader of the human resistance against Skynet, sends Kyle Reese back in time to 1984 to protect his mother, Sarah Connor from a Terminator assassin and safeguard the future.
Here he finds that nothing is as he left it; Instead of a scared waitress, Sarah is a skilled fighter and has a Terminator guardian by her side.
Now faced with a new and unfamiliar version of the past, unlikely allies, including the Guardian and dangerous new enemies, he has an unexpected new mission: to reset the future.
Thumbs Up
The film has a solid storyline and the special effects are more impressive than its predecessors; Terminator 1 and Terminator 2. Arnold Schwarzenegger does a fantastic job as the Terminator once again, even bringing back the one-liners.
If you like all the Terminator movies you will definitely love this movie, for the cast is admirable.
Thumbs Down
For a skilled fighter, Sarah’s physique betrayed her as her body had little muscle definition, making her role a little less believable. Before the big showdown, there is a lot of extended action that does not necessarily lead up to making the point of the movie.
Sometimes the story can get complicated with time travel but keep an open mind if you want to enjoy the movie. You might also get lost in the initial half hour if you have not watched Terminator 1 and Terminator 2.
Verdict
A must see if you are a Terminator/Arnold fan.
