Most ladies crave that hourglass shape; the kind where, their midsection is almost non-existent whilst their hips and derriere conspicuously stand out! But just when you thought that Kenyan ladies were doing well with their adequately endowed physiques, a new rampant trend that has ladies struggling with waist trainers for that ideal body shape is taking over.
All the wearer has to do is strap the waist trainer on and try not to pass out in a low-effort trick that promises to slim your waist and “train” your curves.
Soon after top pop celebrities like the Kardashians and Amber Rose (who are famous for their ‘to die for’ body shapes) revealed that waist training was the way to go. For that perfect hourglass shape, local socialites like Vera Sidika took the hype to a whole new level, even promising that she would soon be selling waist trainers to ladies needed ‘smashing body shape’.
With business ladies also shipping in the waist trainers in mass thanks to their booming demand, it is no wonder more ladies are walking around with more defined body shapes off late.
But what exactly are these waist trainers?
Contrary to common perception that the waist trainer is ‘a gym leader who takes their client through waist reduction exercises’, waist trainers are latex made corsets that instantly clinch the wearer’s body whereas waist training is the gradual reduction of one’s natural waist size through consistent wearing of the corsets.
Once the wearer has the corset as an undergarment, their physique automatically gets enhanced as the corset displaces extra body fat to other positions consequently reducing one’s waist line by considerable inches.
However medical professionals have warned against the trend affirming that while the corsets visibly streamline the body appearance, they may be affecting the wearer by compressing ones internal organs. Worse still the corsets do not reduce any body fat as no calories are burnt in the process.
While the results are not permanent, professionals add that the waist trainers are a great pick whenever one needs that extra level of self confidence and attention thanks to the waist trainer’s ‘hourglass shape’ effect.
