When it comes to condoms, Kenyans know it as a contraceptive, a topic that is not usually discussed in the open with parents but it’s totally different when we in Sydney, Australia.
According to www.BBC.co.uk, a giant pink condom has been placed over a Sydney landmark as part of a new campaign to raise HIV awareness. The condom which is 18m sheath will cover a heritage-listed obelisk in Hyde Park until Wednesday.
The condom was slipped on by ACON, a health promotion organization specializing in HIV as well as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex health. The condom brought about a chuckle on social media with funny pictures and comment on what they thought of the campaign.
The condom is to stand tall for a week to help raise awareness among gay men about how they can help end HIV transmission in NSW by 2020.
