ODM leader Raila Odinga’s son, Fidel Odinga, may be joining his father in politics very soon.
According to sources, there has been pressure for him to vie for the Kibra parliamentary seat.
News of Fidel’s possible venture into politics have sparked a lot of debate online.
Meanwhile, Fidel’s friend, Robert Kimuchu Gichuru, has been charged following a fatal accident. He was driving a Sports Utility Vehicle Range Rover said to belong to Fidel, which was involved in an accident that led to the death of a cyclist.
He has also been charged for failing to carry a driver’s licence.
The charges read that on the day of the accident, the accused person “did drive the said vehicle while under the influence of alcohol beyond the required limit of 0.35mg/l of breath as recorded by a breathalyser indicating he had 0.36mg/l of breath, exceeding the limit by 0.01mgl of breath.”
Gichuru is out on a cash bail of Sh300, 000 with the alternative of bond worth Sh500, 000 and a similar surety.
