Condom in pastor's tool box shocks residents

A pastor embarrassed himself at Silibwet Trading centre, Bomet County, after condoms from a tool box on his motorbike scattered all over a scene of an accident he was involved in, leaving locals who knew him cupping their mouths in shock.

The pastor, who is well known among locals at the trading centre and doubles up as a boda boda rider was at pains to explain to those who dashed to the scene to rescue him and his passenger what all the condoms were meant for.

The consignment of condoms the man of God was carrying spilled the beans on his secret extra-marital affairs, which some locals had all along suspected him of engaging in.

Eyewitnesses said the condoms, totalling over 400, had been kept in a tool box on the pastor’s motorbike.

The accident, an eyewitness said, confirmed the fears that most locals had about the pastor being randy.

Little wonder then, that he had been noted to always prefer female clients.

“This pastor is usually seen carrying female passengers, and openly brags to fellow riders that women prefer his services because they are sure they are in safe hands whenever he is transporting them,” chuckled an eyewitness.

“We have always wondered why he prefers women passengers and the spilled condoms have just confirmed our fears that the man of God must been engaging in secret affairs with some of his customers,” yet another witness said.

One witness who happens to be a member of the church where the pastor preaches was lost for words.

He said it was ironical for the pastor to be found with the cache of condoms, yet he has been a vocal critic of all contraceptives, claiming that their use promotes promiscuity and immorality.

“It is unfortunate for the man of God that it is now known he preaches water while drinking Countryman, he should be a good example to his flock, who he keeps warning against engaging in extra-marital affairs,” added the irate church member who vowed to push for defrocking and excommunication of the pastor from their church.

He added: “This is a big shame to the church and we will ensure that he is stopped with immediate effect; to protect the image of our church.”

Being a market day at the trading centre, the incident attracted hundreds of traders to the scene.

The news spread like a bush fire. Within a very short time, the pastor’s wife had got wind of the whole matter. She  hurried to the scene, which is not very far from her home.

She braved the shame her husband had caused her and their family as members of the public confronted her and the pastor, firing all manner of questions and without caring about the minor injuries the man of God had sustained.

“How do you cope with a cheating pastor who pretends to be doing business, yet he engages in immoral activities?” asked one visibly disappointed man.

The pastor was at pains to explain what he was doing with all those condoms. By this time, his uninjured female passenger had slithered and vanished from the scene.
