It seems that the prayers of the’50 shades of Grey’ fans have been answered.
Universal Pictures and Focus Features announced that Charlie Hunnam, who was tipped to play Christian Grey in the movie adaoptation of the book, has dropped out of the movie.
The book, which has gained quite a following in Kenya, was set to be adapted into a movie that would hit theatres in August 2014.
The companies cited Hunnam’s immersive schedule on hit TV series ‘Sons of Anarchy’ as the reason he would not be doing the movie.
Possible contenders for the role of Christian Grey include Matthew Bomer of ‘White Collar’ and Ian Sommerhalder of ‘Vampire Diaries.’
Dakota Johnson still remains in the female lead role as Anastasia Steele.
