Arsenal Star Theo Walcott is Now Married!

Arsenal forward Theo Walcott walked down the aisle with his childhood sweetheart Melanie Slade over the weekend. In a medieval themed ceremony held in Italy, the 24 year old heartthrob said ‘I do’ in a climax to a romance that has been 10 years in the making.

The ceremony was attended by close friends and walcott’s Arsenal team mates.

Walcott gushed over his lovely wife and said, “It's fantastic to be able to finally call Melanie my wife. Now we're excited to see what the future holds for us.”

Asked if he was worried that marriage would put a damper on their love, he told HELLO! , “I don't think marriage will change our relationship – I hope not anyway, as it was already everything I could have wanted.”

Melanie on the other hand said that the best moment for her was walking down the aisle to see Theo waiting for her.

The couple asked the guests not to bring any gifts. Instead, donations were to be sent to the Willow foundation, which supports seriously ill 16 to 40 year olds and the Macmillan cancer support.
