Comedian Eric Omondi on Tuesday led a group of shirtless men in protest against the high cost of living outside parliament.
The men carried placards written "Stima Juu, Unga Juu, Mafuta Juu, Taxi Juu" lamenting the tough economic times.
Led by Omondi, they demanded to meet National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula to air their grievances and they were heard chanting "bado mapambano".
Police officers manning the building, however, arrested him and hurled teargas to disperse the group that had disrupted traffic flow.
This is not the first time the comedian has protested outside parliament as he caged himself in 2022, pushing for local music to get 75 per cent airplay.
At the time, his antics caught the attention of Dagoretti MP John Kiarie who lauded him for highlighting the plight of artists.
