Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu has lauded Mugithi singer Samidoh for being a responsible dad.

Speaking during an interview on Vybez Radio, Nyamu said despite their differences, the Kairitu Gakwa singer always fulfils his duties.

She added that she has much more to offer than drama with her baby daddy but was quick to point out that Samidoh never fails to provide for their two kids.

"I am very single but of course me and him (Samidoh) have children and one thing about him is...he might not be many things but he is a responsible dad.

"He does what he is supposed to do for the children whether we are in talking terms or not. Akijua for example mtoto anaanza shule lazima atacontribute. Kwangu yeye huniangusha but hajawai angusha watoto," she said.

On motherhood, Nyamu said it is a beautiful journey which motivates her to keep working hard each day.

Asked whether she is open to getting another child, she said it is a possibility, provided she meets the right man.

"You never know (if) I get a mubaba nikapende sana...I can't rule out anything. I love energetic men who are full of life. I want a spontaneous man who can go on random trips with me.

"I am not particularly a fan of men who take ages to plan something," she remarked.

Nyamu also said she does not have any regrets regarding the Dubai incident involving Samidoh and his wife Edday Nderitu, adding that she is a free spirit and perhaps took one bottle too many.

"I am not a drunkard. I am a social drinker and I do not regret the Dubai incident, I am a free spirit."

This comes just a week after Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua asked Samidoh to take charge of his family matters.

The DP said it was embarrassing for the trio (Samidoh, Nyamu and Nderitu) to engage in an altercation, especially in a foreign country.

DP Rigathi Gachagua asked Samidoh to put his house in order.

"Samidoh, you know how we love you and your songs. Don't take your family affairs abroad. We don't want foreigners to know so much about us," he told a bowed Samidoh.

Gachagua, who was speaking during the burial of Pauline Nyokabi, sister to Trade Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria, warned that Samidoh who doubles as an administration police officer, would be punished if he did not put his house in order.
