Radio presenter Oga Obinna has taken to social media to bid his co-host Kamene Goro goodbye as she exits Kiss FM.
Through his Instagram page, Obinna recalled how welcoming Kamene was when he first joined the station.
"Has it been 10 months already? Seems like last week. You welcomed me to @kiss 100kenya & made my transition into morning Radio easy...accommodated my noise, drama, scandals, taught me how to be a babyboy, polished my lingua but above all you were my shoulder to lean on when everything was going south, "he wrote.
According to the funny man, Kamene was not only his colleague but also his friend and confidant.
"You were the only one I could confide in when most of the time the whole world seemed to be against me you were here each morning with warm hugs, smiles, encouragement and cute uncoordinated dances...YOU KNEW MY TRUTH. You knew Steve was a different person from OBINNA," he added.
Obinna admitted that Kamene's departure will be difficult for him to cope with but promised to try his best.
"Wheh!! Today is a hard show. MY KAMENE...Goodbyes and heartbreaks are the HARDEST. Enyewe nothing lasts forever.Let's finish on a High ... I wish you well and will always be a phone call away ... mkiwachana na Afande Nipigie One LAST show. 2023 imeanza na mbio mbaya I swear," he said.
Addressing her departure in a previous interview with Nairobi News, the on-air personality questioned why people were so curious to know her reasons for leaving the station stating that exiting Kiss 100 was anything not easy.
"I don't have anything to say, but again how is my leaving news? You people should know leaving is not an easy thing, and you should let people be," she said.
Kamene joined Kiss 100 sometime back in 2019 after prematurely ending her contract with her previous employer, NRG radio, which resulted in her being sued by the company.
"It has been a pretty tough couple of days from let's say Thursday. I did not see any of this coming. I'm like where is humanity? So, you know I've been taken to court. It's now public knowledge. I think all of you guys have seen the story. An injunction has been slapped on me. I'm not supposed to go on air. So what guys? How am I supposed to work? Where do I get my living from? My career. my future," she posed.
Despite the setback, Kamene later joined the Kiss 100 breakfast show alongside former presenter Andrew Kibe who later left.
