Rapper Nicki Minaj and husband Kenneth Petty.

Nicki Minaj has gotten rid of her name Mrs Petty on Twitter after her husband, Kenneth Petty's, sexual assault past came back to haunt the family.

Nicki’s husband and father to their 11-month-old son was arrested in 2020 for refusing to register as a sex offender. He has also served a related four-and-a-half-year sentence in prison for attempting to rape a woman - now 43 - in 1994.

The estranged woman claims Nicki offered her money to withdraw the case by offering to fly out the woman to Los Angeles to hush things out claiming “she can help her”, but the woman refused the offer.

According to the lawsuit on the account, the plaintiff told Nicki: “I need you to know woman to woman, that this happened.”
