Ahead of the release of the latest Fast & Furious movie, Vin Diesel has shared a touching tribute to his late friend and co-star Paul Walker.
F9, the ninth main instalment from the race car franchise, is set to be available at cinemas across America later this month and it's lead star decided to mark the occasion with a sweet snap of himself and the deceased actor.
Posting to his 70.5 million Instagram followers, Vin captioned the throwback picture: "Weeks away from the F9 release... in preproduction for the finale that starts only months from now... @meadowwalker sends me this image and tells me how happy the photo makes her feel.
"Naturally, one gets filled with emotion, purpose and ultimately gratitude. Eternal brotherhood is a blessing beyond words. Hope to make you proud... All love, Always."
Meadow Walker is the daughter of Paul and has remained close to her godfather, Vin following her dad's tragic passing in November 2013.
The young model was just 15 when the Fast & Furious actor died in a horrific car crash in the outskirts of Hollywood.
Since his passing, Meadow has set up the Paul Walker Foundation in his memory and also accrued over 2 million followers on her Instagram page - where she sometimes shares pictures from her personal photo albums of herself and her late father.
The 22-year-old has also revealed her close relationship with Vin and his family, sharing a selfie with the actors three children in June 2020.
"Family, forever," Meadow wrote in the caption of the picture which included the actor's son Vincent, 11 and daughter Pauline, 6, of whom was named after his late friend.
Vin has also used his social media to show his love for his goddaughter in the years since Paul's passing.
To celebrate her 21st birthday, the 53-year-old wrote "I could say that I am so proud of the person you are becoming ... but the truth is I have always been proud of you," in a heart-warming Instagram post.
"Happy Birthday Meadow!" the XXX actor continued in the caption. "I know it's your 21st and you wanted to go big in Japan, but the family has a cake waiting for you when you get home, so hurry. Love you kid. Uncle Vin."
Paul was one of the original stars of the popular action films, starring alongside Vin in the franchise's first release, The Fast and the Furious back in 2001.
His tragic death in 2013 came while he was in the middle of filming Furious 7, reprising his role of former cop Brian O'Conner. His brothers Cody and Caleb stood in for him, filming the final scenes of the movie which was dedicated to his memory upon its release in 2015.
