Piers Morgan has made another dig directed at Meghan Markle as he reflected upon the recent death of Prince Philip. The often outspoken former Good Morning Britain presenter, 55, has continued to viciously criticise Meghan following the Sussexes' explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Reflecting upon the legacy of Philip - who died at the age of 99 last week - Piers suggested that the Prince's key to success in the Royal family was to 'stay off Oprah'. In his latest column for the Mail Online, Piers claims that the late Prince's biographer Gyles Brandreth had revealed that Philip thought the couple's interview was 'madness'.

Piers wrote: "'Give TV interviews, by all means,' Philip said. 'But don't talk about yourself'. "Gyles Brandreth said the Duke thought Meghan and Harry's decision to grant their friend Ms Winfrey a lengthy prime-time US TV audience was 'madness' and 'no good would come of it."

Elsewhere in the column, Piers also claimed that Philip's motto also included 'not whining' before going onto make yet another thinly veiled critique at the younger Royals. Piers added: "Many of the younger royals that followed them have behaved very differently - emoting on television, playing the victim, wallowing in self-pity, complaining about their regally gilded lives, and getting themselves into all manner of lurid scrapes that have damaged the family's reputation."

Piers' latest remarks come days after the Royal Family confirmed that Prince Philip had died at the age of 99. At the time, the former GMB star branded the late Royal as an 'absolute rock of devoted support to Her Majesty' in a touching tribute.

It has since emerged that Prince Harry has travelled back to the UK to pay his respects following the death of his grandfather. However, it has been revealed that Meghan Markle was advised by her doctor not to travel to the UK and will not join the family for the memorial.
