Kaz Lucas, a sex educator and podcaster has been shortlisted to join the TED Fellow cohorts of 2021. Kaz was highlighted as an educator building a positive and safe space for sexual discourse in Kenya through her podcast and TV segment, The Spread. Through these platforms, Kaz illuminates and confronts the pleasure gap, challenges restricting LGBTQ+ policy and emphasises reproductive rights.

Kaz joins a team of 19 more TED Fellows cohorts from different countries among them two other Kenyans; Jim Chuchu, a filmmaker and founder of The Nest Collective, and Tom Osborn, the founder of Shamiri, a youth-led organisation providing mental health care solutions to teens across Kenya.
