Theo Kgosinkwe of Mafikizolo has welcomed a new baby girl with his wife, Vourné Williams, a year after the couple tied the knot in a private ceremony. Theo announced Wednesday they welcomed their first child, Alexis-Sky Oratilwe, on January 24.

In an Instagram post seen by Standard Entertainment & Lifestyle, the couple revealed that their daughter is an answered prayer. “We prayed for this child and God granted us. Our hearts desire 1st Samuel 1:27. Born 24/01/2021 Oratilwe Alexis-sky Kgosinkwe,” stated the composer famed for nine legendary albums with Mafikizolo associate, songbird Nhlanhla Nciza.

In a sweet message Sunday, Vourné reposted photos of their baby gender reveal party, and wrote: “For this baby, we have prayed for 1 Samuel 1:27. Thank you God for making yesterday possible, for blessing us so much this year! I Theo and I truly grateful and over the moon excited... it’s definitely been 20 plenty for us.” “She is gonna be as cute as mommy. You are gonna be an awesome mom, Babe,” Nciza adorably commented.

The singer,45, proposed to the 26-year-old model in 2019 after three years of dating. His first union, 15-year marriage to Rose, with whom he has two children, was dissolved in 2015. “I went through a bad patch with my wife because I was working so hard,” he told DRUM at the time. “As a solo artist, you have to work extra hard because you’re not sharing the load with anyone. I had to learn to prioritise.”

Speaking to TshisaLIVE days after their August 2020 wedding at a chapel in Ruimsig, Johannesburg, Theo said he is glowing in love and revealed why they were eager to walk down the aisle.

“I am a very happy and excited husband. My wife is also really happy. It is during these hard times that we strive to look for something positive, to stay positive despite the challenges. Love always wins, even under lockdown. Because of the Covid-19 lockdown, we could not invite some of our family and friends, so we decided to have the celebration next year. A wedding is a celebration and you want those close to you, to be around. We felt like the biggest celebration will be held when things are a bit better,” said the singer.

Adding: “It's really important that we keep certain things out of the public eye. Of course, there is interest in our relationship, we are on social media platforms, but we choose what content to put out there and what is private. You can't let your entire private life be out in public, some things have to be private. Despite the work I do, I am a normal person. My wife is also a normal person. We are ordinary people in love.”
