Gospel musician Abigael Mkamburi Masai has dropped a worship song titled Elohim. In the release that premiered on January 22, the businesswoman and singer highlights God’s goodness and graces. According to Abigael, “The name 'Elohim' is a Hebrew name for God meaning The Supreme Mighty One. This is a worship song that glorifies the Lord's Majesty in all His creation and thanks Him for all He has done.”
The video features a lot of greenery with sweeping views of Kenya's scenic landscape, giving off a sense of calmness and complementing the song's laid-back instrumental.

Gospel industry
Speaking about the current state of Kenya’s gospel industry, she urged fellow musicians not forget the sole reason why they are doing music- to praise and elevate God.
“It’s not my position to pass judgments on other people based on their words or actions. If you identify as a gospel musician, then the ministry should be the core message. A lot of people are looking at us to set an example thus, we should not mislead God’s people by doing things that seem to be against His word. We must practice what we preach,” she told Standard Entertainment and Lifestyle.
Who’s she?
Abigael, who runs a family-owned hotel on Makueni County started singing at an early age while in school during traditional music folktale presentations. In secondary school, it seemed she was destined for ministering God’s word through music as she led the Christian Union in praise and worship.

However, according to Abigael, her mission only became clear to her in 2016 after a period of prayer and fasting in church. The next year, she recorded her first song dubbed Sifa. She’s since gone on to release several songs among them Pokea, Ushindi, Yesu Mwokozi, Kiti Cha Enzi, Majestic and Unikumbuke.
