It’s the go-to music app for millions of people around the world, and now Spotify has revealed its top artists, albums, tracks, playlists and podcasts of 2020. This year, 320 million people listened to music on Spotify, with an extra 116 million listening to a podcast for the very first time!
Spotify said: “2020 is almost over. It’s been a year to remember — being physically apart for so long, yet somehow finding ways to come together as a resilient community.
“Before we officially close the books, there’s still time to celebrate the creators behind the music and podcasts of 2020 that kept us going all 700 months of this year. And Spotify 2020 Wrapped is here to do just that.”
The stats show that Bad Bunny is the most-streamed artists of 2020, with a whopping 8.3 billion streams this year. Meanwhile, the most-streamed song of the year, both globally and in the UK, was The Weeknd’s ‘Blinding Lights’, which had 1.6 billion streams.
