Set in numerous European luxury resorts and towns and on the Mediterranean Sea, an NYC cop (Adam Sandler) finally takes his wife (Jennifer Aniston) on a long-promised European trip, a chance meeting on the flight gets them invited to an intimate family gathering on the Super Yacht of elderly billionaire Malcolm Quince. When Quince is murdered, they become the prime suspects in a modern day whodunit.

Thumbs up

Great chemistry from Adam and Jennifer, and the rest of the cast are hilarious and well-placed. The action scenes were pretty good and should keep action comedy fans happy. The jokes are well-placed and often and they won’t disappoint fans of the genre, not too much toilet humor and back to the good old Sandler days.

Thumbs down

They have taken two A-list stars and sold them not as a typical married couple in an interesting situation but as a dreadful stage double act whose banter is inane, constantly bickering and under-cutting each other. The movie was pretty decent for a Adam Sandler movie, although it does have unrealistic, if exaggerated expectations and scenarios.

Verdict

Just entertaining enough to make you wish it was actually good.
