Police at Ntumu station are holding a man who attempted to commit suicide at Kauuni village over a debt of Sh150.
Mr. Mwirigi Kithure alias Kijani wanted to take his life on Friday after his employer failed to pay him Sh150 debt.
Mwirigi, a farmhand, wanted the money but his boss claimed he had already paid him.
Mwirigi could not hear any of this and to demonstrate his anger, he took a rope and rushed towards a tree near Kauuni Primary School while crying and threatening to take his life.
The incident attracted many onlookers who watched in disbelief as the man started climbing the tree holding the rope.
