Rapper SWAT of fast-rising group Ethic is on a path to greatness if a pledge by the son of Kenya’s Opposition Chief, Raila Odinga, is anything to go by.
Speaking to eDaily, Raila Junior disclosed that he is impressed with SWAT’s choice of words, style of music and talent.
“I have been listening to his songs for a while now, and his choice of words is amazing. His giftedness is currently being appreciated internationally. SWAT’s style of music will propel him to greater heights,” said Junior.
Junior added that all SWAT has to do is ask what he requires as he is ready to put up a recording studio for his Ethic crew should he choose so.
“I wish to know his background. That would help me know what kind of assistance I can offer him should he need one. There is nothing I wouldn’t do for him. Should he want me to put up a recording label for him and his group members, I am ready.

“If he wants me to help them get shows, I would book them for several gigs. I am ready to do all that because SWAT has shown how much of a talented rapper he is,” he told eDaily.
Raila Junior’s move comes days after Ethic was dropped from a lucrative deal with Hype Fest over what organizers said were legal issues surrounding the group.
“Due to ongoing legal issues regarding Ethic they will not be featuring at Hype Fest,” read a statement from Hype Fest’s page
Hype Fest’s decision came hot on the heels of reports that SWAT and his friend was roughed up by an angry mob in Umoja, Nairobi, over claims they attempted to rob occupants of an apartment in the area.
A position disputed by the group who stated that SWAT and his friend was mistaken by locals after the two ran and hid in the apartment to avoid police officers on patrol.
