Comedian Chipukeezy and fiancé Vivian Mandera popularly known as Empress Kerry have called off their engagement and ended their relationship.
The two, who had been together for three years, set tongue wagging after they deleted each other’s photos on social media leaving hawk-eyed fans probing further whether they were together.
Chipukeezy in an interview confirmed that they were no longer together after a mutual understanding that they go their separate ways.
According to the comedian, it was clear the relationship was just another treadmill run.
“To be honest, we agreed that whatever we wanted to do together would not work out, and it was a peaceful agreement. Tulikua tunaenda Canaan tukapata mamba.” said the comedian.
“We moved on because there is more to life than just love and relationships. People should stop speculating things, but instead let her move on with her life. She is free to be out there and get other people,”he added.
Chipukeezy proposed to Mandera during her birthday in 2016 which was attended by close family members. Since then, the two were never shy of PDA until recently when they suddenly stopped.
Fans then began questioning their union forcing the two to open up about their break up. Chipukeezy now plans to keep his future girlfriend and most of his social life a secret.
“I prefer my life to be now private because I don’t think I want to publicize my social life anymore,” he said.
“I wish her well and all the happiness that she deserves and may she find love. I don’t regret anything in that love because it is part of growing,” he added
Interestingly, Chipukeezy’s best friend Eric Omondi, who also proposed to his Italian girlfriend Chantal Grazioli while on a Valentine’s Day getaway around the same time as Chipukeezy, had to shoot down rumours recently that his relationship has gone to the dogs.
