We all know that ‘Being Bahati’ - a Kenyan reality show titled after gospel star Bahati that airs on NTV- is scripted right? Right.
Now that we have checked that box, let us talk about the breakup episode that saw his wife Diana Marua pack her bags and storm out of their house in a huff.
A furious Marua walked out on Bahati in the episode that has got Kenyans talking after he scoffed at her invitation to have a talk.
She explained that she was tired of Bahati's absence at home, nonchalant attitude towards having a conversation around their lives and that enough was enough.
“Tulikosana, I packed my stuff, like three weeks ago. Baha is never home na hata akikam mapema, anakam ananiambia vile amechoka anafaa alale mapema kesho akona meeting. Anakam anashika mtoi two minutes, five minutes amemaliza anakula alafu anaenda kulala,” said Marua.

And now, the singer who is riding high with a new tune ‘Nipende’ has responded to the breakup saying ‘Being Bahati’ was not easy.
“Kuongea Kwako Kuna Maana Huoni Uchungu Napitia, Naikimbia Shida Nilikotoka Nyumbani Unapajua #BEINGBAHATI is Hard!!!” he posted.
The reality TV show which debuted on Sunday, July 22, follows the life and times of the singer with his wife, daughter Heaven and Yvette Obura with whom he had his first daughter, Mueni.
Bahati got married to Diana Marua in October 2017.
