Gospel singer Wily Paul recently had to prove to fans that his new hairstyle that has been a centre of attention lately was not a duplicate of Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz'.

On social media, a fan asked the singer to stop copying Diamond who recently unleashed a new hairstyle - plaited braids while Willy Paul is now donning dreadlocks.

"Star! #NewLook… Where are my true fans at?” captioned his photo.

"Pozze, i'm your greatest fan but stop copying Diamond Platnumz in everything he does." a fan told him.

It's not a secret Willy Paul looks up to Diamond Platnumz and mirrors some of his moves.

But on this one, however, he sure came first. Willy Paul changed his hairdo almost three days before Diamond posted his.

"Be informed. Just don't talked for the sake of talking. Get your facts right," the gospel singer told the fan.

"Do your research, I put first then he put it three days later, Chibu akaeka." he said.

Diamond's new look has attracted just as much attention as Willy Paul's. Diamond said his mother inspired it but liked it because it was controversial.

Some fans didn't like it and trolled him immensely on his social media platforms.

"Sometimes you have to change. You have to look good if you are a celebrity. Usiwache watu wakuzoee. You need to give them something to talk about sometimes. Sio kwa nia mbaya kwa nia nzuri,” said Diamond.

Paul's new hairdo has also been turned into trolls especially, after the singer said that Diamond copied him.

“New look and they just copied me again,” posted Willy Paul later on.

"Unaboo na hio hairstyle,” said md.fier_shakzy.

“hahahaa willy sasa unadai diamond amekucopy ama?” asked oscar_august7.

“Imekubali! But stop saying they copied you... Whoever they’re…” said thandi_3. Would you like to get published on Standard Media websites? You can now email us breaking news, story ideas, human interest articles or interesting videos on: standardonline@standardmedia.co.ke.
