Ronda Rousey brought down the house and put the WWE women's locker room on notice as she put in a dominating debut display at WrestleMania 34.

The UFC legend sent the sold-out Mercedes Benz Superdome crowd into raptures as she defeated Stephanie McMahon and her husband Triple H in a mixed tag team match alongside RAW general manager Kurt Angle.

Rousey paid homage to her hero, the late great Rowdy Roddy Piper wearing his trademark leather jacket with her outfit mirroring his famous tartan look.

McMahon, however, wasted no time in angering the 'Baddest Woman on the Planet' when she pulled Rousey's hair and slammed the superstar to the canvas not once but twice.

After waiting patiently, Rousey finally got her hands on McMahon showing an array of excellent in-ring moves - including a vicious barrage of punches.

It appeared that she had McMahon ready to submit before the WWE chief brand officer escaped the ring.

She later proceeded to beat Triple H up before McMahon stepped in and slapped Rousey.

But it was not a smart move as Rousey exploded with rage and threw her rival into the ringside barricade.

Triple H, meanwhile, managed to get on top as he hit his signature pedigree move on Angle.

But Rousey, who was watched by her former UFC boss Dana White, stepped in for the save to deny Triple H and his wife victory.

She then locked Triple H in a brutal submission before setting her sights on Stephanie in an arm bar, which McMahon somehow managed to escape thanks to her husband's desperate intervention.

A classic encounter eventually ended when Rousey locked McMahon in a submission again which she had no option but to tap out.

As Rousey and Angle celebrated their triumph, medics were attending McMahon at ringside as she appeared injured.
