Former NTV N-soko Property show host Janet Kanini Ikua has passed on at the age of 38 after battling lung cancer for a while.
She was diagnosed with cancer in 2015 which had developed from a complication of Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT). The cancer lesions had spread to her liver, bones, abdomen, lymph nodes and lungs by the time she was going for treatment in India.
The information has been sadly confirmed by her former friend and colleague Larry Madowo. He tweeted “My friend Janet Kanini-Ikua breathed her last this morning. She was brave & inspiring. We're all privileged to have known her. Sleep well. “
It is indeed a sad day as many have taken on to social media to pass their condolences. In 2015, Kenyans in solidarity contributed towards her treatment in India as they travelled the journey with her.
