To the men and women of Kenya
police, I write this note today to thank you for your service in protecting us.
Recent media account about police officers have made me sick; you have been
called names and with so much negativity.
It has become
fashionable to dishonor the often dangerous job you do serving our country. You
serve and protect us all, even those who have turned against you. You just don’t
know how much I appreciate all your time and the responsibility you have
undertaken.
You stand between us and
the thieves, terrorists, kidnappers and anyone looking to harm us every day. I
wish all people could understand what risks our officers go through to keep us
safe; you truly are my everyday heroes. Thank you.
