Prestige Shuttle, plying the Nairobi- Nakuru route has ensured that their drivers are disciplined. In fact, the crew pray for passengers before commencing their journeys.

This, according to the marketing manager Peter Ouma, has seen the shuttle become the most respected and disciplined on the route.

“Once the passengers are seated, a driver or supervisor is supposed to guide them on the speed limit, stopovers and road etiquette so that they (drivers) don’t receive calls, use dirty language or smoke. After that we pray for journey mercies,” said Ouma.

At the city centre terminus, Joyce Mbugua, a former Kenya Airways customer service supervisor, ensures all passengers are comfortable and show them the right seats according to the numbers on their tickets.

“I’m a customer service attendant-cum-driver. Our priority is comfort and safety, thus prayer is key. We stop for three minutes at Delamere in Naivasha for a break if passengers wish so.”

He added that, “We offer a complimentary ride for loyal customers with at least 15 tickets. Further, all passengers are given our business cards before leaving in case they wish to get in touch with us. We try our best to hire drivers who know how to pray and are disciplined so that we remain credible.”
