Walking in town, you will meet a number of women flaunting their long
gel-polished nails in all colors. Gel polish always looks nice and has
advantages such as its longevity. However, maintaining gel polish is not as
easy. Here are some of the disadvantages of gel nail polish.

might arise if the gel polish is not properly applied. The risks are however
rare but can cause a lot of damage.
3. Gel nail polish is expensive. By this I mean
that, you will require a specialist to apply the polish and you will also need
to go back to the specialist to remove it. This may cost almost sh 3000, while
the normal polish will require less than sh 500 to do the whole process.
4. Experts also believe that the use of UV
gel might be harmful to your skin and that constant applying might lead to skin
cancer.
5. Constant applying of gel nail polish, that
is, more than six times in a row can completely damage your nails as you will
be depriving your nails natural light for healthy growth of nails.
6. There’s also the risk of your nails breaking
because they grow too long which in most cases, might be very painful.
