The much awaited family show featuring Jamaican dancehall artiste has been postponed. The show, which was to be held on Sunday, is now slated for February next year.
According to the organisers, issues to do with logistics led to the cancellation, even after it was confirmed as early as September that Mavado was to grace Kenya for the Jamhuri Day weekend.
“We apologise to our fans, but we encountered some logistical problems that necessitated the cancellation,” said one of the organisers. “We are giving our word, the show will be on in February.”
The ‘So Special’ artiste has a massive following in the country, one that can only be rivalled by the incarcerated Vybz Cartel, Sean Paul and Konshens.
