I have always been at the forefront of those arguing that macho, alpha males make for better partners.
However, I have had a change of heart.
As a professional millennial woman, I am thinking that an average beta male would be a better fit for me.
I admire the drive and the dominance of the testosterone-driven alpha man, but a relationship with one could prove disastrous.

Look at it this way. There can only be one person on the driver's seat. Knowing myself, I would much rather have that person be me and the only way I can achieve that is by partnering with a subordinate man of low status.
Just like an alpha male, I am success-driven and have an ego to boot.
As such, I have better chance of a blissful relationship with a submissive beta male who will let me call all the shots.
A relationship with an alpha male would result in us locking horns more often than not over power and dominance.
I loathe conflicts in a relationship and avoid it at all costs.
I would have to dumb myself and continuously stroke the ego of a dominant male for the sake of harmony in the relationship.
Why should I struggle to dumb myself in order to please an alpha male when I can totally be myself with a beta male? Beta males are dependable, responsible and supportive.
My beta man should have a less-demanding job such that he is always around when I need him. Better still, he need not have a job since I will be raking in all the big cash.
When I work long hours at the office, I will have the assurance of coming home to an understanding man, not a man who will be on my case over where I have been.
My beta man will also not mind helping around the house. I especially want a man who is a whiz in the kitchen.
After a long day at work, I can come home to a nicely laid out dinner of my favourite meal.
It will be a plus if he knows how to operate a vacuum cleaner. When we have children, I will not have to worry about balancing a career and a family.
He will stay at home and take of the kids and keep the house. Talk about the perfect life!
