In a world where personal relationships may easily get curtailed especially by the in-laws, KTNbrings you a brand new local drama series, 'Stay'. This explosive new drama is about the relationship between a Kenyan woman and a white man.
The young, black woman struggles with a ruthless mother in law, a demanding job, weight issues and a modern clash of cultures in a journey to find true love with her American fiancé, all in a bid to establish her career and independence.
SYNOPSIS
Nubia, (Mkamzee Mwatela), an interior designer with a new business believes she has it all: a great job, a great fiancé (Shane) and a soon-to-be-‘great’ mother in law (Philippa).
Her perfect world is however rocked when Phillippa visits and decides to stay and invest in Kenya after her second divorce. She becomes cold and calculating in her bid to banish Nubia from her son’s life because Nubia is black, a plus-size woman and is not from a prestigious family.
Phillippa will go to greater and greater lengths to make Nubia’s life a misery, who is somewhat consoled by the presence of her younger brother, Kwame, a young struggling entrepreneur trying to hustle.
